Our Vision
The vision of Give Autism Hope is ultimately to open a school where education, treatment, therapeutic services, recreation, camps, support groups and community events will be an integral part of the school program. We will use all methods, approaches and ideas collectively to educate each child according to their individual strengths and needs. Our staff will consist of talented dedicated therapists, educators and professionals who love what they do.
To each and every child who enters our school, we will show respect for who they are and where they are. Our goal is to enhance their talents, teach to their strengths and hope to change behavior that interferes with their path to happiness, independence and full potential. We will create a physical environment conducive to all childrenŐs needs including large sensory spaces, a pool, huge windows, swings, trampolines, ball pits, etc.
We will support and include family and friends in all aspects of education, therapy and the school community. We hope to enhance the lives of family/friends/child through a multisensory/multidisciplinary, functional, therapeutic approach with the idea of supporting each child (child, family and network) thus enabling them to reach their full potential.
We will involve the school in the community and the community in the school. The school will have an organic sustainable farm where the children can learn to prepare healthy food (grown at the school), enjoy the outdoors and participate, to the fullest extent possible, in the community in which they live. Local artists and community professionals will help shape the environment/milieu of the school through cooperation, collaboration, support and love.
